Chennai, May 23 (UNI) The Madras High Court has restrained the state government from proceeding with awarding a tender to AHA, Airhostess Academy (P) Limited in Choolaimedu here for conducting professional airhostess and cabin crew training.
Justice K Venkataraman granted the injunction on May 20 while passing interim orders on a writ petition from New Tech International Academy in T Nagar seeking to declare the entire tender process initiated in the later part of 2007 as illegal and to cancel the selection of AHA Academy.
According to petitioner, its institute was imparting training to airhostesses and cabin crew to BC and MBC candidates as a welfare measure sponsored by the state government.
The IATA had also recognised the petitioner's institution, it said while charging the tender procedure was flawed.
