Chawla is successor to Kumble predicts Warne

Chennai, May 23 (UNI) Legendary Aussie leg-spinner Shane Warne today predicted that upcoming leg spinner Piyush Chawla can be the successor to Team India test captain Anil Kumble.

Talking to newspersons here on the eve of Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Chennai Super Kings, Warne said ''Piyush Chawla is very impressive. He has a bright future in Indian Cricket, who can be the successor of Anil Kumble''.

''Indian cricket has two quality leg spin bowlers in Anil Kumble and Piyush Chawla'', he added.

Warne, who is captaining Rajasthan Royals in the ongoing IPL tournament, said ''Piyush Chawla spent a couple of hours with me.

He was not happy with the way things were going for him. I offered him advice and a few tips''.

When asked about other bright prospects for Indian Cricket team, Warne said Ravinder Jadeja could fill the all rounder slot.''He is emerging as a good allrounder. He is performing well in IPL. He could be a superstar '', he said.

While making a special mention about Yusuf Pathan and Taruwar Kholi, Warne said both Pathan and Kholi were playing some good criket.
