Srinagar, May 23 (UNI) Any enemy attack would be dealt with firmly by the Indian soldiers, President Pratibha Devisingh Patil said today.
Addressing jawans and other ranks at Baramulla in north Kashmir, she said the Indian troops were ready to meet any eventuality.
She said she was visiting the border and forward areas for the first time to have an on-the-spot feel of the situation and know about the environment under which the troops were working.
''I am happy to be with you,'' she said adding that ''our borders are safe in your hands.
''I got an opportunity to see how the troops are working on the border,'' she said adding she visited troops at Tangdhar from where she could see some areas of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Leepa valley.
