Chandigarh, May 22 (UNI) Haryana Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary Power Ashok Lavasa today directed the senior officers of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam to fix feeder wise and circle wise targets for bringing down the Aggregated Technical and Commercial losses during the current fiscal.
Mr Lavasa was reviewing the progress and action plan of the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHVBN) with the senior officers of the Nigam.
He said a comprehensive plan be prepared to carry out periodical checking of the sub divisional offices where the consumers directly interact with the staff for redressal of their grievances and also initiate necessary action to streamline the working to achieve the target of 'full consumer satisfaction'.
He also directed them to set up 10 new customer care centres immediately. Reviewing the progress of segregation of 11 kv feeders supplying power to rural areas, he said that the maximum work be completed before the ensuing paddy season to avoid inconvenience to the farmers.
It would enable more power supply to the domestic consumers of the rural areas and enable precise energy audit. It was observed that the Nigam had supplied extra power as per availability to the domestic consumers after segregation of feeders.
He said the UHBVN has planned to carry out developmental works in its command area for which an investment plan of Rs 722.74 crore had been made for the year 2008-09.
The activities planned to be implemented by the Nigam were directly connected with the consumers which would strengthen the distribution infrastructure. The planned works would be executed as per time schedule.
