London, May 22 : When it comes to "rock 'n' roll," Beyonce is far behind Tina Turner, claims the 'Queen of Rock n Roll' herself.
Many would easily put the 'Crazy in Love' beauty alongside the veteran popstar, owing to their long locks and short skirts, but Turner insists that her younger rival will never be "rock 'n' roll".
Turner, who has hits including 'I Don't Wanna Fight' and 'Simply The Best' to her credit, has clearly indicated that the 26-year-old singer cannot claim her crown as the queen of raunchy pop.
"She was one of the ones that were sitting in front of her little television, her little self looking at the big screen when I was Tina in the Ike and Tina Turner days and she took from all the stars at that time," The Daily Express quoted her, as saying.
The 68-year-old recently performed with the 'Destiny's Child' singer at this year's Grammy awards and will now be touring the UK next year.
She added: "Diana Ross influenced her, I influenced her. What I like about her is that she knows what she is doing, she really did her homework and decided to stay elegant.
"She's not rock 'n' roll - she's totally elegant. Unless you're rock 'n' roll from the heart you can't mimic that... the stance... the movements... it has to come from the inside.."
