LF government to collapse within two years : Mamata
Kolkata, May 22 (UNI) Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee today said wind of change had started blowing in the state and it would take another two years to topple the Left Front government from power.
'' It's just the beginning of the end of CPI(M)-led LF rule in West Bengal and the government will be toppled from power within two years from now. The CPI(M) should take a lesson from Nandigram and Singur Panchayat results and stop the violence, unleashed by them, immediately, '' Ms Banerjee told newspersons here.
She said, '' The people in general do not like the CPI(M) and a major chunk of people believing in Left ideology have cast their votes this time in favour of the Trinamool Congress. '' '' We are not against industrialisation and have no objection to the Tata's small car factory at Singur, but there is no need of 1000 acre of land for Tata Motors. Tata should return 400 acre of land to the unwilling farmers of Singur and it has been our long pending demand, '' she stated.
'' If we can take over the Panchayat, our first priority will be to create transparency and a domocratic atmosphere and run the Panchayat smoothly, '' she opined.
She also said, '' The Trinamool Congress does not believe in changing the land's character, '' and stressed on the need for land bank and land map in the state to idenfity the agricultural and non-agricultural land.
