Hospitals under minimum wages net
Bhopal, May 22 (UNI) Private hospitals, private educational institutions, pathological laboratories, consulting centres and coaching classes have been brought under the ambit of Minimum Wages Act, 1948 by the Madhya Pradesh government, officials said today.
The government also fixed minimum wages for employees of these institutions, Deputy Labour Commissioner L P Pathak said.
The minimum basic pay for skilled labourer have been fixed at Rs 3350, semi-skilled labourer Rs 3200 and unskilled labourer Rs 3070, Mr Pathak said, adding allowance on the basic pay will also be payable.
