Shimla, May 22 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau today lodged and FIR against former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh's Principal Secretary Subhash Ahluwalia under the provisions of Prevention Act .
Today's FIR comes after the inquiry into Mr Ahluwalia's assets and bank accounts by Vigilance Bureau.
Mr Ahluwalia had been facing an inquiry into alleged accumulation of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. It was alleged that during the inquiry, Mr Ahluwalia had withheld details of his certain bank accounts which led to filing of FIR against him.
The Vigilance Bureau had also been probing into foreign trips of his wife during the tenure of previous Congress government.
According to sources, the Vigilance Bureau today carried out search of bank lockers of Mr Ahluwalai at Panchkula.
The Vigilance Bureau had initiated an inquiry on a charge-sheet by the state unit of BJP alleging assets beyond his known sources of income.
