Air India to fly first from new Bangalore airport
Bangalore, May 22 (UNI) National carrier Air India will operate the inaugural flight from the newly constructed Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) at Devanahalli, near here, on May 24.
According to an official release, the Singapore bound A320 flight 'IC 957' would depart at 0001 hrs on Saturday.
Over the last four decades, Air India has been operating from HAL airport here. At present, the airline operates 18 daily flights to various destinations.
It also operates daily flights to Singapore and Maldives, four flights a week to Sharjah and three flights a week to Dubai and Muscat, the release added.
