Truck driver abducted with goods-laden truck
Fatehgarh Sahib, May 21 (UNI) A truck driver was allegedly abducted with the truck loaded with 15 tonne goods by some unidentified persons in Mandi Gobindgarh.
The Mandi Gobindgarh police, on the statement of the truck owner Harminder Singh, a resident of Alamgir (Ludhiana), registered a case against three unidentified persons under sections 379, 328 of the IPC.
As per Harminder Singh, his truck driver Avtar Singh's son Raju had informed him that after loading 15 tonne goods from Durgapur, they had reached Mandi Gobindgarh and parked truck near Modern Steels of the town when three unidentified persons approached them.
He said these strangers, after taking his truck driver and his son into confidence, served them a drug-laced cold drink and when the two fell unconscious, they drove his truck towards Sirhind side.
Raju informed Harminder that the miscreants had taken his father Avtar Singh with them but dropped him (Raju) near Floating Restaurant.
