Hyderabad, May 21 (UNI) Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested an Assistant Engineer in the Andhra Pradesh Housing Corporation in Anantapur District and unearthed disproportionate assets worth Rs 25 lakh.
Conducting simultaneous searches at his houses at Govindapalli village and Anatapur Town, the sleuths found the official was in possession of a three-storeyed building with furnishings worth Rs 8.76 lakh, farm lands (Rs 3.84 lakh) and 27 house sites (Rs 21.55 lakh), an official release here said.
In addition, he had 650 gm of gold ornaments, two kg silver and Rs 1.48 lakh cash at his residence.
The assets were worth 34.16 lakh as per documentary value and the market value was tentatively about Rs one crore. The disproportinate assets value was Rs 25 lakh.
