Kozhikode, May 21 (UNI) The Kerala State Handicapped Persons Welfare Corporation Limited (KSHPWCL) will distribute aides/appliances worth Rs two crore among physically and mentally-challenged persons in the state tomorrow.
The equipment would be handed over to hundreds of physically and mentally-challenged persons in all the 14 districts of the state on the occasion of the third anniversary of the LDF government, KSHPWCL chairman Uzhavoor Vijay told reporters here today.
District-wise allocation of equipment funded by Social Justice and Empowerment Department of the Central Government was Thiruvanthapuram worth Rs 25 lakh, Kollam Rs 23.16 lakh, Pathanamthitta Rs 7.88 lakh, Alappuzha Rs 17.11 lakh, Idukki 9.73 lakh, Ernakulam Rs 19.3 lakh, Thrissur 18.9 lakh, Palakkad Rs 15.35 lakh, Malappuram Rs 21.71 lakh, Kozhikode Rs 20 lakh, Wayanad Rs 4.15 lakh, Kannur Rs 13.33 lakh, Kasargod Rs 8.58 lakh and Kottayam Rs 10 lakh, he said.
Kerala Forest Minister Benoy Viswam would inaugurate the scheme at Koyilandi in the district tomorrow, he added.
