Hooch unearthed behind a Police Station
Bangalore, May 21 (UNI) In the backdrop of the killer hooch claiming 127 lives in city, rural and Kolar districts, officials today seized 400 sachets of hooch in an unused well just behind a Police Station in the city.
Bangalore Urban deputy commissioner M A Sadiq said today that the contraband was found behind Frazer Town police station.
K G Halli area near this police station reported the highest toll in the hooch tragedy that was first reported on Sunday. So far 60 people have died in the city alone.
He said in a release that in another incident the special team that had launched a crack down on bootleggers and brewers of illicit liquor had also seized 500 more sachets in a building in Baglur layout also in the City.
Two persons including a lady were arrested, he said.
