Heat wave conditions persist in coastal districts

Hyderabad, May 21 (UNI) Severe heat wave conditions persisted in Guntur, Krishna, Prakasam and East and West Godavari districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

According to weather office here today, the maximum temperature fell at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over Telangana and changed little over Rayalaseema.

They were above normal at one or two places over Telangana and in the remaining districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and normal over Rayalaseema.

Rain occurred at a few places over Rayalaseema, while isolated rain occurred over Telangana. The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm are Punganur and Venkatagiri Kota 3 each, Hyderabad, Ibrahimpatnam and Puttur one each.

The weather office predicted that heat wave conditions were likely to continue in Guntur, Krishna, Prakasam, East and West Godavari districts for the next 48 hours.
