GMR Infra Q4 net up 202.02 pc at Rs 37.36 cr

New Delhi, May 21: GMR Infrastructure Ltd today said its net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 increased a whopping 202.02 per cent to Rs 37.36 crore as compared to Rs 12.37 crore during the corresponding period last year. Total income also shot up 183.25 per cent to Rs 64.44 crore for the fourth quarter of FY08 as against Rs 22.75 crore for the same quarter a year ago.

The company posted a net profit of Rs 62.69 crore during FY08 as compared to Rs 2.88 crore last fiscal, registering a hike of 2,076.73 per cent. Total income surged 230.97 per cent to Rs 112.2 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 from Rs 33.9 crore a year ago. The Group posted a net profit of Rs 50.02 crore during Q4FY08 as compared to Rs 21.85 crore for the same quarter a year ago, registering an increase of 128.92 per cent.

Total income increased 46.12 per cent to Rs 905.19 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 from Rs 619.47 crore for Q4 FY07.

The Group's net profit for FY08 stood at Rs 210.08 crore as compared to Rs 174.43 crore during the previous fiscal, increasing 20.43 per cent.

Total income rose 37.86 per cent to Rs 2,364.53 crore for FY08 from Rs 1,715.07 crore in FY07.
