Five arrested in Delhi road rage case

New Delhi, May 21 (UNI) The Delhi police have arrested five people, including four women, in a case of road rage in North Delhi yesterday.

The Police arrested a man Satish and the four women occupants of the Indigo Car - Sushma Beniwal and her mother Kamla and Vidya Pandey and Rachna Pandey - for assaulting Divya and Sunil near Prashant Vihar late last night.

According to the Police, Sushma Beniwal and other women occupants of the car had, along with Satish, a resident of Sargodha village near Rohini, beat Divya and Sunil, the occupants of the SX4 car, near Rohini jail after wrongly overtaking their car.

While Satish has been taken in preventive custody under section 107 and 151 of the CRPC, Sushma Beniwal, who was driving the Indigo car, and other women occupants of the vehicle were arrested under section 279, 337, 323 and 341 of the IPC for indulging in road rage.
