Cong demands action against inspector for burning party flag
Agra, May 21 (UNI) Irked Congress workers here today protested the police act of setting afire their party's flag and demanded an action against the accused cop.
The issue had snowballed yesterday, of Congress workers attempted to burn Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati in effigy, sources said today.
When the local police got to know this, inspector of Sadar police station Baldhari Singh rushed to the spot and tried to pacify the mob.
However, when the situation worsened, the policeman set a fire Congress' flag.
In fury, the party workers today met Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) and demanded an FIR and suspension action against the accused inspector.
