Patna, May 21 (UNI) Glowing tributes were paid today to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 17th death anniversary.
A seminar was organised at the Congress headquarters Sadaquat Ashram here.
Addressing the seminar, senior party leader LP Shahi described Rajiv Gandhi as a great thinker who paved the way for revolution in the information technology.
Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee president Sadanand Singh said Rajiv Gandhi gave new direction to the nation and sacrificed his life for its unity and integrity.
Earlier, floral tributes were offered at his statue at the Congress office.
Party members associated with various cells of the Congress observed the day as Balidan Divas (Sacrifice Day) and Mazdoor Raksha Divas (protect the rights of labourer).
