Chennai, May 20 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today announced an assistance of Rs one lakh each to the families of two persons from the State, who were killed in a terror bomb attack in Iraq recently.
An official release here said the deceased Ramesh kumar and Senthil, hailing from Tirukkuvalai in Nagapattinam district and Ambakkam in Kancheepuram district respectively, were killed in a bomb attack on May eight.
While Ramesh Kumar was working as a driver in Iraq for a Kuwaiti firm, Senthil was working as a diesel mechanic in a private firm at Iraq.
Expressing shock over the killings, Mr Karunanidhi conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved familiies and announced the relief from the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund.
