Bihar: School principal's throat slit with sharp weapon

Kishanganj, May 20: The principal of a residential school was murdered by two miscreants with a sharp weapon at Ruidhasa locality here. Police said here today that the principal was supervising the arrangements and hostel administration with some teachers in the school premises on May 18 when the assailants attacked him and slit his throat with a sharp weapon.

Before fleeing the site, they threw the weapon with a letter that read, ''One has gone and the others will also have to go.'' The principal was immediately rushed to a local hospital where he was declared brought dead.

The eyewitness teachers identified the assailants as one Ajeet, son of Ratan Paswan, peon of the same school, who was suspended recently following dereliction of duty, and his friend Vijay Kumar.

Police said Ratan Paswan and Vijay Kumar had been arrested while Ajeet was absconding, adding that raids were on to nab him.

During interrogation, Ratan Paswan and Vijay Kumar disclosed that Ajeet was upset with the suspension of his father by the principal and with the motive of revenge, he planned the gruesome killing with his friend Vijay.
