Patna, May 20 (UNI) The RJD today alleged that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was misleading the people by claiming to bring about ''Rainbow Revolution'' in the state as infrastructural facilities to boost the related sectors, including agriculture and dairy, were still elusive.
National Spokesman of the party Shyam Rajak told mediapersons that by ''Rainbow Revolution'', Mr Kumar meant quantum jumps in all sectors, including agriculture and dairy through 'focused and sustained' efforts, but the required infrastructural facilities had still not been provided by the government.
''Irrigation facilities have not been made available to the vast chunk of arable land, forcing farmers to live at the mercy of the Rain God,'' Mr Rajak said, adding that medicines of common diseases among animals were not available in the veterinary hospitals.
Production of food grains in the state had decreased by 26.04 per cent during Mr Kumar's tenure and poor electricity supply in rural areas was further affecting the prospect of good yields in the coming days.
The chief minister distributed only six kg seeds to the farmers on launching of agro-road map for Bihar and his dream of bringing a turn-around in agriculturte sector was ridiculous, he remarked.
