Do not allow BJP to come to power: Lalu
Hubli, May 20 (UNI) Railway Minister Lalu Prasad today cautioned the people of Karnataka against electing the BJP to power, saying a peaceful state would turn into a state of unrest.
Campaigning for the Congress candidates here, Mr Prasad appealed to the voters to keep communal forces at bay.
Accusing the BJP of being responsible for the Godhra carnage which ultimately sparked a series of communal riots in Gujarat and other parts of the country, he urged the people to reject BJP in the coming elections.
Alleging that JD(S) had never responded to the aspirations of the people, he said only the Congress could do justice to the state.
Mr Prasad said Mr Deve Gowda a the history of betrayal and party's senior leader Ramakrishna Hegde was thrown out of the party after he became the Prime Minister.
