Vijayawada, May 20 (UNI) India's leading mobile service provider, Airtel expanded its service to more than 100 new towns and villages in the Vijayawada zone today.
Bharti Airtel Ltd. Andhra Pradesh CEO, T Elango said in a release here that the Airtel customers were today based in the remote corners of the state, and roll out in new towns and villages was a reflection of commitment to make our service available to the remote area.
Stating that more towns and villages would be added to its network in the next few months, Mr Elango said as of today Airtel has the largest network across Andhra Pradesh with over 6.5 million customers and 61.98 million mobile customers across the country as on March 31, 2008.
The Vijayawada zone comprising Guntur, Khammam, Krishna, Nellore and Prakasam districts, covers more than 3,200 towns and villages and 15,500 retail outlets, he added.
