MP Govt utilising central funds at whims: Sami
Shajapur, MP, May 19 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Planning and Parliamentary Affairs V Narayan Sami today alleged that the Madhya Pradesh BJP Government is utilising funds from central schemes at its whims.
Mr Sami, while addressing a meeting of Congress workers here, said the Centre has implemented several schemes for the benefit of farmers, labourers, young people, women and dalits.
Last year, the Madhya Pradesh Government was provided Rs 2,350 crore under the National Employment Guarantee Scheme, Rs 1,900 crore under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Rs 2,650 crore under the Pradhanmantri Sadak Yojana and Rs 900 crore for health schemes.
''However, these schemes are being propagated as schemes of the Madhya Pradesh Government,'' he alleged.
State Congress President Suresh Pachouri said the Lokayukt has registered cases against eight ministers including Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in corruption cases.
He said the BJP failed to fulfill its poll promise of providing adequate power.
