Court acquits Zardari in drugs case
Lahore, May 19 : A Lahore court has acquitted the Co-chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party, Asif Ali Zardari, in a drugs case.
Additional Session Judge (Lahore) Aijaz Hussain Awan pronounced a decision of not guilty in connection with the case.
After the verdict, Zardari's counsel Senator Latif Khosa, told the media that the case was based on falsehood uttered by Saif-Ur-Rehman.
Earlier this month, the Sindh High Court disposed off the infamous Swiss Bank case in which Zardari and his late wife Benazir Bhutto were both accused of stashing 50 million dollars in Swiss bank accounts.
With this, all the court cases lying pending against Zardari or his family within Pakistan have been disposed off.
According to a TV report, Zardari is currently attempting to have a case registered against him in London dropped.
