Chandigarh, May 19 (UNI) In all 28 aspirants, including 11 women, are attending a six-week All India Football Federation introductory coaching course for players/officials which began at St Stephen's School here today.
AIFF director of coaching Gabriel Joseph, who is conducting the course, while explaining the pre-requisites for the introductory coaching course, said only those who attend all the classes and practical training on all days during the camp would be presented participation certificate.
It will be very helpful for those who aspire to attain AIFF level 'C' coaching licence, said Joseph, who has recently conducted Licence C course in JCT Phagwara.
The Chandigarh Football Association was planning to organise licence C coaching course. CFA general secretary Rakesh Bakshi said that before the association opts for licence C coaching course, it has planned to host another introductory coaching course for coaches/PTIs working in the Chandigarh Education Department.
"The CFA will be approaching the DPI (Schools) in this connection," said Bakshi.
Meanwhile, Joseph explained introduction to coaching profession in the second session. It was followed by video training session.
And the day's programme concluded with warming up/ball feeling and cooling down exercise. The classes are conducted at St Stephen's School, while the aspirant go to adjacent Dev Samaj College, Sector 45,for practical lessons.
Principal Harold Carver was also present on the inaugural ceremony.
Those attending the course are: Suman Deep Kaur, Anjana Thakur, Meena Kumari, Poonam, Poonam Deol, Pooja, Parvinder Kuar, Kamaljit Kaur, Jaskiran Kaur, Sharanjot Kaur, Harnoor Kaur Chahal, Surjit Singh, Dinesh Patrick, Raman Jinta, Kartik Bhardwaj, Viney Kanwar, Kanwar Vinod Kumar, Manjit Singh, Vishal Rana, Vijay Bhatt, Ashutosh Sharma, Mohak, Pankaj, Mukesh, Ashok Kumar, G V Singh and Ramesh Chand Bhatt.
