Water crisis in Gomardi Sanctuary troubles wildlife
Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, May 18 (UNI) The wildlife in this district's Gomardi Sanetuary had been facing tough times as the sweltering summers dried most of the water bodies.
Sanctuary's Forest Superintendent S S Kanwar said today that the ponds in 277 sq km region of this sanctuary had been dried up and it was facing a water crisis making the wildlife to wander in search of water.
''To meet the water scarcity the process of handpump digging is in progress,'' he added.
