Rain posing challenge to tomorrow's match between KKR vs CSK

Kolkata, May 17 (UNI) Heavy downpour and gusty winds have cast a shadow on the IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings as a portion of Eden Gardens, the venue of the lie, went under water today.

Though the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) officials tonight said they were well equipped with gadgets to drain out the water, but the sky was still overcast.

Six pumps and two super soppers will be deployed to dewater the ground, they added.

Though the pitch had been covered before the shower started, but eye witnsses said the outfield, especially near the boundary, was still under water.

Chennai Super King's vital practice session was curtailed today due to the rains.

Rain and winds for about two hours killed two people and flattended many houses in rural areas of Bengal this evening.

Rain on May 8 had forced the organisers at Eden to reduce T20 match to 16 overs between Kolkata and Bangalore.
