Prostitution racket busted; 3 Russians rescued
Mumbai, May 17 (UNI) Social Service Branch (SSB) of the city police have rescued eight girls, including three Russians, who were used for prostitution at Adarsh Nagar area of Andheri in western suburbs here.
Following an information, the SSB team conducted raid in the area last night and rescued the girls in the age group of 20-30 years, police said.
Police have arrested the pimp Asha Patil (39) for running the racket. She has been booked under section 3, 4, 5 and 7(1)(b) of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA), police added.
