Mayawati criticises Congress for vote-bank politics
Bijapur, May 17 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati today citicised the Congress for ''using the minortiy communities as vote banks and not doing anything for their betterment.'' Addressing an election rally here, she also criticised the Centre for its ''wrong'' finance policies, which she said were the ''main causes'' for the present inflation and price rise of essential commodities.
Ms Mayawati asked the voters not to allow the BJP and Congress to come to power in the state as ''they do not promote social harmony and bring prosperity.'' The party's main aim was to bring social reforms, which would benefit all classes of people and only the BSP could give social justice to all sections of the society.
