BSP to contest LS polls on its own in Bihar
Bettiah, May 17 (UNI) The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) today announced that it will contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls in Bihar on its own without having a truck with any political party or front.
Addressing a public meeting at Lauria, BSP national general secretary Azad Gandhi said the response of masses towards the party was encouraging enough to decide to fight the next Lok Sabha polls alone.
''Our party takes care of all sections of the society irrespective of caste and creed,'' he said adding that the pace of development in Uttar Pradesh has moved on 'fast track path' doing justice to all sections without any discrimination.
Mr Gandhi, who is also a Rajya Sabha member, said BSP supremo and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati would be projected as the prime ministerial candidate.
