New Delhi, May 16 (UNI) Sweltering heat and humid conditions prevailed throughout the day today as Delhiites braved another sunny and hot day in the midst of peak summer season.
While the day's maximum temperature soared to 40.3 degrees Celsius, two degrees more than yesterday, humid conditions made life for the common man difficult.
Even the day's minimum temperature at 27.2 degrees, which is normal this time of the year, was two degrees more than yesterday.
However, despite a partly cloudy sky no rainfall was reported from any quarters, said the Met department, adding the maximum humidity was 73 and minimum 24.
Predicting partly cloudy sky with possibility of thunder showers in some parts in the next 24 hours, the weatherman said the temperature would be around 40 degrees tomorrow.
On the recent stormy conditions, it said the upper cyclonic circulation, which hovered above Rajasthan and Pakistan and blown away the weather here, had returned to normal.
