Sports, Movie, Money - new trend in entertainment: Mahesh Bhatt
Kolkata, May 16 (UNI) IPL-T20 is a good idea and there is no harm in commercialising sports, just as it is okay to commercialise movies, says Mahesh Bhatt.
Addressing a press conference here in this City of Joy and cricket-lovers, after the nationwide release of "Jannat", a movie on match-fixing and romance, by debutante director Kunal Deshmukh, featuring Emraan Hashmi and debutante Sonal Chauhan, the film's producer Mahesh Bhatt said the film is essentially a love story on the backdrop of a life of a bookie who turns into a match-fixer.
'' We always promote new talent because we alone have the guts to do so and have done the same in this film as well,'' Bhatt said, adding Emraan has always been an artiste they could bank on.
The film features the Bhatt's blue-eyed boy Emraan Hashmi and Delhi-bred model Sonal Chauhan, who was hand-picked by the director at a restaurant, three new singers-- Rupam from Kolkata, Rana from Mumbai, and Samraan from Pakistan, as well as Bhatt's son Vishesh Bhatt who wrote the script of the movie.
