Mumbai JCP makes secret visit to Jaipur, submits report
Mumbai, May 16 (UNI) Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria has submitted a report to the state home ministry after returning from a ''secret visit'' to Jaipur.
The state government had directed Mr Maria to visit the Pink City after Tuesday's serial blasts.
In the report, Mr Maria has drawn similarities between the Malegaon blasts last year and the Jaipur blasts, according to sources.
Mr Maria, who investigated the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts as well as the blast at the Gateway of India a few years back, has suspected the involvement of Bangladeshi Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HuJI) and the Students Islamic Movement of India's (SIMI) network in the blasts, the sources said.
They added that Mr Maria could be co-opted to investigate the Jaipur blasts.
Mr Maria was unavailable for comments.
