CM conducts road shows to woo electorate
Nizamabad, May 16 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today accused Telangana Rashtra Samiti(TRS) President Chandrasekar Rao of forcing the byelection on the State with a ''personal agenda'' and bringing to halt developmental activities in the region.
Addressing a series of meetings in Dichpalli constituency in this district, the Chief Minister asked Mr Rao would have floated the TRS, had the then Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu denied him ministership.
He claimed that the Congress party had never denied the existence of Telangana sentiment and was sincerely striving to find a solution to the vexed issue. The TRS had forced the unnecessary bypolls on the people for ''survival''.
Highlighting the developmental programmes and welfare schemes launched by his government, he said his government had fulfilled all the major promises made to the people an year ahead of its term.
