Centre sanctions revenue computerisation project for Sirmour
Shimla, May 16 (UNI) In a bid to strengthen revenue administration in Sirmour district of Himachal Pradesh, the Centre has sanctioned a Rs 429 lakh pilot project to upgrade records after re-survey of 2826 square km area.
Presiding over the meeting of Revenue Department, Revenue Minister Gulab Singh Thakur said here today that under this project re-survey work of land would be commensurate by using latest technology with combination of GPS and Total Station so that maps could be maintained and updated in single unit.
''The computerisation of work in all the districts of the state was in progress and data entry process of 107 tehsils of the all 109 of the state and the data entry work of 19734 revenue villages out of 20681 had been completed respectively,'' he added.
The Minister said 97 tehsils and sub tehsils had been brought under the online services and these all after the computerisation had been efficiently issuing copies of land records, moreover another project of Rs 1551.58 lakh under National Land Management Programme had been forwarded to Centre to avail financial assistance.
