Bhopal, May 16 (UNI) Actor Ajay Devgan, who is constantly seen puffing in the film 'Company', today said smoking and alcohol related advertisements should not be banned or criticised as in a democracy everybody has the right to enjoy freedom of expression.

''How could you tell people about Britain's former prime minister Winston Churchill's life without showing him smoking as he smoked a lot,'' Ajay said here, adding its upto the people to decide to opt the best and genuine. People are free to do anything in a democratic country, he told reporters here.

Ajay arrived today in the 'city of lakes' in connection with promotion of liquor company Bagpiper, of which he is the brand ambassador.

Addressing a press conference Ajay said those who cannot understand their responsibility or lose their control after drinking have no right to consume alcohol.

The actor suggested that distillation of crude liquor should be stopped and people should drink branded alcohol.

''Shatrughan Sinha is regretting for doing a liquor endorsement because he is now a politician and former union minister,'' said Ajay, adding his (Ajay's) image would not be tarnished by doing liquor endorsements.

Ajay said blogs are good means of flaunting one's feelings and sharing emotions with them.

Ajay, whose latest venture was his home production flick 'U Me or Hum', said he loved big screen but the concept of a dance reality show 'Rock n Roll family' cast spell on him as members of three generations shared the same stage and danced exquisitely.

''At this juncture when all the Saas Bahu sagas are ruining families this show ushers audience towards family bonding,'' lauded Ajay, adding that he did not find anything odd in family branding as he and his wife Kajol did only those endorsements which they find reliable.

This was his second visit here, earlier he visited the city for the shooting of Priyadarshan directorial venture 'Yuwa'.

His next flick to be screened soon is 'Golmaal Returns', which is the sequel of his earlier film 'Golmaal'.
