Agra, May 15: Expressing his views over the recent slap row involving Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and right-arm medium pacer Sreesanth, former cricketer Chetan Sharma said an equal action should be taken against the latter, as he also misbehaved during the match.
''Why action is being taken only against 'Bhajji,' while Sreesanth is being left with a warning,'' Chetan said raising a question infront of mediapersons here yesterday.''It is injustice to set free one player and punish another, when both were involved in the incident,'' the former player lamented. The slap episode had occurred last month in Mohali and is in much media glare since then. Harbhajan slap to his team-mate Sreesanth had left the latter weeping infront of many cameras.
In a ''slap'' reply, Harbhajan was banned to play in five one day matches.
Further terming Indian Premier League (IPL) a gift to yougsters Chetan said ''it is a good opportunity for the youth to play with senior players.''
