Prohibitory orders around diplomatic area
New Delhi, May 15 (UNI) Fearing demonstrations and processions around the high security diplomatic enclave which could create a security scare, the Delhi Police today clamped prohibitory orders in the area.
Delhi Police Commissioner Y S Dadwal issued prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
He said there had been reports that processions and demonstrations are likely to take place in the area...''Which could disturb public tranquility and threaten security of the diplomatic mission.'' Recently, protesting against use of force by Beijing in and around Lahsa on Tibetans, a group of demonstrators had managed to breach the security of the Chinese embassy.
Meanwhile, following the Jaipur serial blasts, security around the embassies have been increased. Steps have also been taken to ensure against demonstrators gathering around the Pakistan High Commission.
