India to leave tomorrow for AFC U-14 football festival in Iran

New Delhi, May 15 (UNI) A 22-member Indian team will leave for Iran tomorrow to take part in the AFC Under-14 Festival of football to be held from May 18 to 23.

Along with India, hosts Iran, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bhutan and Nepal will vie for the honours in the six-day event.

The team will be accompanied by Thomas Joseph as head coach along with manager Satheevan Balan while Reghunath Basak will be the physio.

Team: Goalkeepers : Kamaljit Singh and Nitin Meel.

Defenders : Romesh Singh Pukhrambam, Kislay Singh Sajwan, Pradeepraj Thangaraj, Pawan Kumar, Khondram Satish Singh, Anuj Negi, Niladraja Jamatia, Zuber Ahmed and Shashank Rawat.

Midfielders : Dhillipan Murugesan, Jhinkan Gaurav, Souvik Das, Brandon Fernandes, Shaikh Imtiaz Ali and Sachin Kumar Kohli.

Forwards : Umakanta Singh Kiyam, Jayabrata Dhar, Nirvail Singh, Md Alamgir Ansary and Golmei Mariamdum.

Officials : Head Coach-Thomas Joseph, Manager-Satheevan Balan and Physio-Reghunath Basak.
