Agitating volunteers held
Puducherry, May 15 (UNI) As many as 517 volunteers of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), including state secretary V Perumal and former secretary T Murugan were arrested when they resorted to picketing agitation at six places in Puducherry and Karaikal regions of the union territory today.
The agitation was part of the party's nationwide stir to protest against price rise and demanding immediate measures from the Centre and state governments to curb the same.
