Dubai, May 14 (UNI) India will institutionalise bilateral political and economic ties with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries by conducting ministerial level dialogue annually, Indian Ambassdor to the UAE Talmiz Ahmed has said.
''India will institutionalise the dialogue between the GCC countries to enhance bilateral relations to cement the growing ties between New Delhi and Gulf region,'' Mr Ahmed said while he was addressing the media on behalf of visiting Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee.
''During the Indian minister's meeting with UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, plans were made to institutionalise dialogue between Indian and GCC countries by conducting ministerial level dialogue annually,'' Khaleej Times quoted him as saying.
Mr Ahmed informed that India and the UAE Joint Commission that will aid enhancment of the political and economic ties between two countries will also be meeting annually.
