Indian zoo on global map for rhino breeding
Patna, May 13, 2008: The Sanjay Gandhi zoo in Patna has attained second spot globally in rhino breeding, for conserving the most endangered specie in the world.
Holding the second position in rhino breeding after the Santiago zoo in California, the Patna zoo has been successfully breeding rhinos with the number of the endangered specie increasing to 11 from 2. The zoo authority informed that a conducive environment and proper food supplements are prime reasons for the successful procreation of rhinos.
