Mumbai, May 14 (UNI) There is no similarity between the Jaipur blasts and the blasts that shattered the metropolis in 2006, Maharashtra Director General of Police A N Roy said today.
''There is no similarity in the serial blasts of Mumbai and Jaipur but we are not taking any chances,'' Roy told reporters here.
Jaipur was rocked by serial blasts yesterday that left over 60 dead and 150 injured.
Mr Roy said the police have increased vigil and security at all the crowded places in the city and other parts of the state.
Security would be beefed up for all matches of the Indian Premier League, to be held in the city and Nerul, the DGP added.
Anti Terrorist Squad chief Hemant Karkare, who was also present, said their team would visit Jaipur soon to assess the situation once normalcy is restored in the Pink city.
