I just wanted to win the game says Shoaib

By Staff
KolKata, May 14: After chipping in four wickets in his first spell of three overs against the Delhi Daredevils at the Eden Garden, Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar has said he had put everything into his bowling and had 'no points to make to anybody'. Pakistan speedster Akhtar returned with brilliant figures of 3-0-11-4 that ensured a 23-run victory for the Kolkata Knight Riders last night here.

''I just wanted to win the game. I have no points to make to anybody,'' Akhtar told reporters. The slinger thanked his team-mates, coach John Buchanan, captain Sourav Ganguly and team owner Shah Rukh Khan. ''Sharing the dressing room with SRK and Sourav was fantastic. They backed me. And I am really happy to perform. They put faith in me. And I am happy to deliver,'' he said. The lush green Eden had always been a happy hunting ground for the controversial Pakistani cricketer as he made his succesful debut on this field way back in 1999. "For me, my team is the most important thing. Kolakta is my home team. Eden Gardens is my home ground,'' Akhtar added.
