Harbhajan Singh banned for five ODIs

{image-harbhajan singh_14052008.jpg news.oneindia.in}New Delhi, May 14: Indian Board's disciplinary committee, headed by president Sharad Pawar, has banned Harbhajan Singh for five one-day internationals. BCCI-appointed commissioner advocate Nanavati submitted his report on the slap-gate incident on Thursday.

"I was under tension while making the report not because of the subject, but because the issue that I was investigating was very sensitive. So many eyes were on me. I can't afford to make any mistakes", Nanavati told reporters. I was very cautious while drafting the report. I have written each and every word carefully and I can justify every sentence in the report," said the Ahmedabad-based lawyer.

Nanavati had said he was satisfied with the answers given by both the players and did not feel the need to question anybody else. Harbhjan is already suspended from the IPL and his match fee confiscated after match referee Farokh Engineer found Bhajji guilty of slapping Sreesanth. Harbhajan had allegedly slapped Sreesanth after the end of IPL match in Mohali on April 25.
