Kolkata, May 14 (UNI) Admitting Shoaib Akhtar was the prime factor for the 23-run defeat last night, Delhi Daredevils skipper Virender Sehwag said they were facing a ''do or die'' situation.
It was Shoaib Akhtar's day for Kolkata Knight Riders as his three-over spell spelt doom for the Daredevils, said Sehwag.
''This thing happens in cricket,'' he said adding Shoaib's pace was not a factor as three of four top order batsmen have international exposure.
After Sehwag's departure in second ball and then Gautam Gambhir, Akhtar came to near hattrick position sending A de Villiers and Monoj Tiwari in third over and returned with a figure of 3-0-11-4.
The defeat at Eden, four in row for Dardevils, put Sehwag in a tricky position in the eight-team competition.
Sehwag said now they will have to spare no pains to get back into the reckoning.
