CPM cadres terrorising people: Mamata
Siliguri, May 14 (UNI) Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee today accused the CPI(M)-led Left Front government in West Bengal of terrorising the Opposition supporters and preventing them from casting their votes in the Panchayat elections.
Ms Bannerjee, who was on a tour of North Bengal and campaigning for the ongoing Panchayat elections, said, ''The ruling Left Front has been indulging in massive rigging and booth capturing. Their party cadres have also been assaulting and threatening the Trinamool candidates and supporters.'' She also alleged that the CPI(M) was responsible for the largescale pre and post-poll violence throughout the state.
On the present scenario in the hill areas and the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha's (GJM) agitation for a separate state, she said the issue could be resolved only by holding talks and discussions.
