New Delhi, May 14 (UNI) Delhi witnessed a humid weather today after a thunder storm lashed the city this morning.

Though the winds uprooted trees and created traffic jams, people largely welcomed the pleasant change in weather.

But as the day advanced, temperature rose, with humidity being recorded at 91 per cent.

With mostly clear sky in the evening, the maximum temperature was recorded at 38.8 degrees Celsius.

Afternoon clouds will provide the much needed respite from the summer sun tomorrow.

The Met office said thunder squalls may hit parts of Haryana, Punjab, North Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh in the next 24 hours.

While minimum temperature this morning was recorded at 26.8 degrees Celsius, the Weather department recorded 6.2 mm of rain.
