Jaipur, May 13 (UNI) The army has been alerted and prohibition orders under section 144 has been promulgated following serial blasts at seven different points in a span of 12 minutes in the walled city here.
Talking to reporters here late tonight, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said the state government would deal with strong hand with people who are behind such conspiracy.
Services of experts from the National Security Guards and other central agencies were also being availed, she added.
Ms Raje said no definate lead had so far been emerged in the blasts, adding that the investigating agencies would have a clear picture by tomorrow.
Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria said at this point of time nothing could be said about the involvement of specific terrorist outfit but the blasts were having similarity with those carried out by terrorist outfit Harkat-ul-Islam(HuJi) in some other places in the country.
He said bombs were planted either on cycles, cycle and auto rickshaw and a car.
The Chief Minister, who was in Jodhpur, rushed back to the state capital late tonight.
She immediately held meeting with her senior Cabinet colleagues Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria and Law Minister Ghanshyam Tiwari, and party colleauges including BJP General Secretary Ram Lal, Treasurer Ramdas Agrawal, party state President Om Mathur.
Ms Raje also visited the blasts sites and the hospitals to meet the injured and the kins of the victims.
